Basin is produced from a substrate of 10mm thick glass. The bench unit is produced at the optimum thickness to achieve an aesthetic balance, both units are frosted to create a sea washed effect.

Real silver ferns were used so that their forms could be recorded in molten glass.

Harmonising new concepts with traditional style. This frameless glass shower is produced from the highest quality 10mm toughened glass. Compliant with New Zealands stringent glazing regulations, showers are custom made for the environment they are placed in. The internal walls are also constructed from toughened glass, and provide a clean and almost seamless answer to todays residential homes. The advent of internal glass walls is due to the lack of short and long term maintenance required when compared to the more traditional tiling of walls. This makes for a longer lasting and easier to clean shower.

A very sensible and architecturally clean approach to screening a shower over the bath.

The swinging door provides easier access and is still visually unintrusive, whilst being able to be swung away if you wanted to enjoy a long soak.

Handles were purposely left off so that the door remained all but invisible.

Dual opening hinges allow for water to be contained within the bath as the door could be opened inwards after showering to keep drips of water off the bathroom floor.

Long lasting uncomplicated simplicity.

One bathroom within a set of outstanding apartments which were designed by leading Architectural firm, Warren and Mahoney. All internal bathroom walls are toughened/coated glass, over a 1,000 square meters went into this luxurious complex, each piece came under our extremely stringent quality controls.and colour co-ordinated to provide these apartments with the most advanced and easy to maintain surface.

Built to last, this innovatiive use of glass has spearheaded the changes which we now see in the Christchurch residential market as it moves from tiled shower walls to toughened glass wall linings.

Traditionally the weakest point in New Zealand showers is the grout, not only does it graduallly breaks down visually, but it also allows water to seep behind the tile until eventually the tiles begin to fall off. Why pay thousands to then see it compromised before moss has grown on the back fence.

In a sense reminesent of Frank Lloyd-Wright approach to Architecture and Interior Architectural design.

Our client built there home at the base of the Southern Alps. Their love of this environment saw us bringing the alpine range into every quarter of their home.

Those who have enjoyed visiting the Kaikoura coastline and have taken the opportunity to visit Ohau will recognise this waterfall which lies at the top of the fur seal cubs bush clad retreat. Taken on a mid quality camera this shows the opportunity our clients have to produce their own stunning imaged art glass.

This Designer ensuite entryway provides individual style catering for the owners personal taste. From a practical perspective privacy and light transmission are both optimised. By providing a minimalistic approach to construction the glass frontage does not bear down heavily into the space.

Glass of choice for this commission is Ozone Glass. As a handcrafted Glass, Ozone can be made to provide from @5% to @80% opacity providing our clients with a vast range of textural options that are both tactile and transparent

Handcrafted glass designed for you to enjoy

The imaging composition on the back of this glass enclosure reflects the environment in which this home sits in. The images were taken on the beach which lies in front of this home and were transposed directly on to the glass.

In so doing we have provided a warmth and character in what would have otherwise been a cold and austere environment.

The Glass Rooms designers introduced glass ceilings to the shower area to make cleaning and general maintenance a very simple process. Recessed lighting in the glass ceiling provided a luxurious finish.

Individual GlassRooms provide a practical and visually strong approach to an excellently designed open bathroom layout. The strength of design including black hardware and specially designed glasscut handles were a strong yet carefully considered response to an apartment where only the very best would be acceptable. The GlassRoom worked closely with their client to produce an exquisite award winning finish.

Glass wall linings and glass fittings continue to demonstrate the uniqueness and attention to both detail and keeping maintenance to the lowest practical level. As our Glasclad wall panels can not actually deteriorate, the finish is permanent. We have continued the flow of imaging scenes from outside of the home on New Brighton beach which marries this room to its external environment.

By not allowing the actual shower area to control the aesthetic value that the Glassclad wall cladding would provide, we created a strong presence.
We enhanced the space through the reflectivity of the glass.

This particular finish is “concrete render” and as per its name it provides a visual reference to the external concrete finish on the outside of this Rangiora home.

The shower has been provided with 2 doors which fold inwards when not in use and therefore increasing the amount of room in this already generous bathroom.
